Leigh Reddick
As a Houston, Texas native, Leigh Reddick wrote and produced several short films, two feature films and a web-series. One of the first shorts they co-wrote and produced, Devour, won Audience Favorite at the first annual Splatterfest Film Festival in Houston. After moving to Denver in 2012, they wrote and directed their first short film, Imperceptible, in an effort to shine light on the affects of loneliness. Imperceptible was well-received at several local film festivals. Their short film, 3:14, will be released worldwide this year by High Octane Pictures. Leigh holds a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Houston and has had numerous poems, personal essays and fiction pieces published in various literary journals and collections. They are drawn to character-driven stories and films that highlight personal truths and reach universal audiences. Their language for telling concise and compelling visual stories which touch on broader human experiences comes from both their literary background and studies in poetry as well as their life experiences. Their works have a unique and feminine point of view, mostly dealing with loneliness, grief, trauma and isolation. Located in Los Angeles, California, they are working on their MFA in Film Directing at Chapman University.
